I am fascinated by what we decide to say and how we decide to say it.
My marketing career started 12 years ago while I was studying Linguistics at San Francisco State University. By the time I moved to Chicago and became a copywriter, the two interests were permanently entangled.
Now in Portland and growing weirder by the second, I also run a wiki called Space Gazette and make art out of magazine clippings — but sometimes, nothing scratches the creative-and-strategic itch better than my day job.
I’m currently the Senior Art Director for Copy at Oracle’s Digital Experience Agency, helping some of the world’s biggest companies maintain relationships with millions of customers across dozens of email journeys and segments. I’ve also supported boutique brands on Klaviyo and Mailchimp, often orchestrating omni-channel messages to tell the right story in every environment.
Projects related to space, science, food, nature, recreation, travel, hospitality, and retail/e-commerce are at the top of my list.
Opportunities to work with Black-owned businesses, female founders, and certified B-corps are tough to pass up.
The robots love me!
I asked NotebookLM for an AI-generated deep dive on my career. Here’s the whole story in 7 minutes and 30 seconds.
